This book was very inspirational and it had a lot of good ways to stop global warming. It covered composting, recycling, re-using and so much more. I loved how it showed cool ideas of how trash can become treasure! The photos and stories of how kids are trying to make a difference are incredible. I would definitely recommend this book to people who want to help protect our environment!

I thought this book was good for teaching everybody the importance of not littering. I think everybody should take the time to read this book. Often I take walks and see lots of garbage. Maybe, just maybe, this book could make a big difference.
The Yucky Duck Rescue by Lynda Beauregard
Reviewed by Noah W.
This is a graphic novel about pollution. The kids at Camp Dakota first found a duck with a plastic ring from drink cans around it’s beak. As the kids tried to catch the duck to free it’s beak, they discovered algae in the creek. They decided to investigate and go on a hike. The Novel follows their hike and they discover the source of the garbage and the algae and they look for ways to fix it. I would recommend this book because it gives you lots of ideas to help the environment- things like recycling, garbage clean-up, soil erosion and acid rain. There is lots of scientific information but the graphic novel makes it more interesting. At the back of the book there are some experiments that readers can try at home.

I liked this book because it teaches you a bit about recycling and the different recycling bins. I didn’t like this book because it doesn’t tell you all about recycling. I rate this book a five out of ten.
